Season: May 24 - September 13

With a focus on local fresh food and community-building, the market is the perfect opportunity to bring the community together and connect them to the farmers who grow the food they see in the grocery stores.

The Hillyard Farmers Market might have a new home at the Northeast Community Center at 4001 N Cook St, but the intentions are the same as they’ve always been. With a focus on local fresh food and community-building, the market is the perfect opportunity to bring the community together and connect them to the farmers who grow the food they see in the grocery stores. Neighbors and visitors alike can find everything from plant starts, fresh veggies, jewelry, baked goods, handmade soaps and more.

Many farmers and small businesses cut their teeth at Hillyard Farmers Market. Joshua Eisenman, owner of Eisenman Farms started there in 2020, and expanded his footprint into Millwood Farmers Market late last season. Mark Epps, owner of Gypsy Java, served his first Turkish coffee at the Hillyard Market last season and ended his first year of vending with a festival, a biker rally, and several local sporting events under his belt.

Barb Strader, owner of The Pantry Specialty Market got her start here as well, selling jams, jellies, salsas, and drink syrups, all made with produce from local farms. The Pantry Specialty Market soon added Fairwood Farmers Market, and this year opened the The Pantry Specialty Market Restaurant in Coeur d’Alene’s Silver Lake Mall!

With the new location and plenty of room to expand, Hillyard Farmer’s Market is sure to welcome many new vendors and businesses in the seasons to come. Everyone is welcome at the one and only Monday market, come early and get your shopping done for the week in this historic railroad town.
